I think this has to be the best present we received. My daughter has used it since she was 2 months old. Even before she could reach out and grab the toys she loved just looking at them and hearing the sounds they make.

Now that she's almost 5 months old, she loves putting them in her mouth, and making the toys make the sounds herself. Its truly a great activity mat. Whats nice about this one is that its all cloth and is flexible and can be moved around very easily.

Discovery Circle Reversible Round Playmat

I read the other reviews and cannot believe we all own the same toy. My 2 year old loves this toy sooo much that it is never out during playgroup. He loves sliding the different puzzles in and out and dropping the shapes through.

I love this toy because it challenges him--I only wish it had more shapes instead of the basics.

I taught preschool special education for 8 years, and this toy was a favorite with many of my students. To reiterate what another reviewer said, the shapes are 3-D which is very helpful for babies and children just learning how to insert shapes in a shape sorter.

Kids also love the door and key feature, which helps keep the toy interesting for older preschoolers. Now I have 10-month old twins, and they will be getting a lock-a-block toy for Christmas.
